The topic of last month’s “Yen for Japan” meetup event was tea ceremony. Many thanks for those who came.
What is the topic of this month? I think you guessed right. It’s kimono.
What does Kimono really look like? What is underneath Kimono? How to put it on? You may have a lot of questions of Japan’s traditional clothing. Let’s demystify Kimono together. I will bring some of my own kimono collection with all that are used to put it on, including some obis (the sash). There are many things that are used underneath but never been seen from outside. I will bring them all.
Come explore and ask any question about this ancient Japanese dress. Or, if you are an expert, please join! Your knowledge and will be more than welcome.
The meetup will be held at the Collective in Seattle from 6 to 7:30pm on Wednesday, November 20. RSVP is limited to 8 people. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by visiting the Calendar page of the Collective.
See you there!
